99th Appalachian Fair opens Monday

The Appalachian Fair will be celebrating its 99th opening Monday for a week of festivities. Every night of the fair features live music on the main stage, rides on the midway and a demolition derby on select nights. Livestock and displays along with perishables were being loaded into the buildings as a final part of the fair setup over the weekend. Some contests and judging will happen Monday before the fair opens the midway and exhibits open to the public beginning at 3 p.m.
