Bristol VA gives former VI campus owner 15 days to fix “issues”

A letter from the Bristol Va city manager and attorney said the city has given the owner of the former Virginia Intermont College campus 15 days to fix certain issues at the property. If the city’s demands are not met by that time, legal action will be taken. Bristol, Virginia had previously set a date of Monday, Aug. 18 for U.S. Magis International, the China-based company that owns the property, to provide a written plan for the former campus’s future. Bristol leaders are giving U.S. Magis 15 days to take immediate actions at the property, which include hiring licensed professionals, securing the property and mowing the grounds or face litigation from the city.
