BVPD: Woman arrested after drugs located during traffic stop

Bristol Virginia Police arrested a Bristol Tennessee woman last Friday after finding illegal drugs during a traffic stop. Police made the stop in the 2500 block of Island Road around 1:30 Friday afternoon. During the traffic stop, officers with the help of K-9 “Fanta”, located a quarter pound of methamphetamine and a half-ounce of fentanyl powder. 25 year old, Leah Kraus, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II drug. Kraus is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon without bond.
