BVPD and housing authority announce new partnership

Bristol, Virginia, city leaders set up an agreement between the city police department and the city housing authority Tuesday evening that will help support safe housing for community members. The group “Beyond Housing,” has a mission to provide safe, attractive and affordable housing and housing assistance to families in the city in need of a higher standard of living. The partnership would provide 1 part-time, qualified police officer to conduct safety patrols at different housing complexes.
