Fender’s Farm fully opened almost 1 year after Hurricane Helene

Fender’s Farm just celebrated its reopening over the weekend, nearly one year after Hurricane Helene flooding devastated the popular attraction. Officials at Fender’s Farm said it took a lot of work with help from volunteers, and some 12 to 16-hour shifts along with lots of donations, since last November, to get the farm back to where it is today. In between, Fender’s Farm also served as a response area for FEMA. The farm opened with the same activities that customers are used to, along with some new items, such as a gigantic sand pit, a piggy track and a new playground for the kids. The schedule for the farm events is the same as before Hurricane Helene.
