Community tips leads to recovery of stolen skid steer and arrest of suspect

Washington County, Virginia Sheriff Blake Andis credited the tips of community members phoned in to 9-1-1 to crack the case of a stolen skid steer loader valued at $100,000.

Clifford Allen Chapman, 49, of Glade Spring is charged with grand larceny and three weapon charges including possession of drugs with a firearm.

Chapman was issued a $7,500 bond. Andis encouraged more tips on criminal cases as they play a critical role in safety.
