Speed limit increases on portion of Boones Creek Road

The speed limit on a section of Boones Creek Road in Jonesborough has increased from 30 to 45 miles per hour. The speed limit was increased on the one-mile portion of road heading north from the town limits. Town officials say a new traffic circle around Parsons Circle will help to keeps speeds in check.
