WCSO TN: Two arrested for aggravated child abuse

The Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Offices says two individuals wanted for aggravated child abuse and endangerment were arrested on Tuesday. 26 year old Harry James Reed II and 22 year old Alexis D. Austin, both of Johnson City, were arrested at a residence in Gray on Tuesday. A grand jury indicted the pair in January for aggravated child abuse and neglect of a child under 8, aggravated child endangerment and child endangerment. The indictments reportedly followed a January 2024 investigation. The Sheriff’s Office said an anonymous tip led to the arrests. Both were taken to the Washington County Detention Center and will appear in Washington County Criminal Court next term.
