BVPD: Woman charged in ongoing child abuse case

The Bristol, Virginia Police Department has charged a woman in connection with an ongoing child abuse case. 33 year old Jameeka Starks from Bristol has been arrested and charged with abuse and neglect of a child and strangulation. Starks was taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon, where she is being held without bond.
