Family of Mount Carmel officer seeks help for funeral following unexpected passing

The family of Mount Carmel Officer Mark Lindsey is asking for financial assistance after his death that his daughter said was unexpected.

A GoFundMe account was started to help with Lindsey’s funeral costs following his passing on Saturday, according to the daughter’s story.

Mount Carmel Chief of Police said in a statement that Lindsey served the agency with honor, professionalism and dedication to his community.
