Bands Of America high school band competition at ETSU this Saturday

Twenty-two high school bands from eight states will compete in the Ballad Health East Tennessee Regional Championship this Saturday at the ETSU Ballad Health Athletic Center. East Tennessee will be well represented with 4 bands competing. Dobyns-Bennett, Elizabethton, Lakeway Christian Academy and Science Hill bands will compete against bands from Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky and Oklahoma. The first round begins at 8:45 a.m., with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. The 12 bands with the highest scores will advance to the finals in the evening, and the champion will be named Saturday night. The finals round begins at 7:30 p.m.
