Report: Two people found dead inside Hamblen County home

The couple found dead inside a home in Hamblen County were in the process of getting a divorce.
A Sheriff’s Office statement said deputies answering a domestic call in Morristown Thursday night found 66-year-old Dennis Chandley on a family room floor near a gun while his wife 69-year-old Diana Chandley was on the couch.
Their preliminary investigation indicates Dennis Chandley fatally shot his wife several times while she was on the phone with a 911 operator then turned the gun on himself. The case remains under investigation.

Two people were found dead inside of a home in east Hamblen County Thursday night following an open 911 call.
A county Sheriff’s Office report says deputies saw a male victim laying on the floor of a family room with a handgun laying nearby. Officers then entered the home and found a female victim laying on a couch; both were unresponsive and had been shot.
The investigation continues and the names of the victims have not been released.
