Emergency SNAP distributions scheduled in Northeast Tennessee this week

The first of several distribution events for SNAP recipients are scheduled, according to information from the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.

Residents from the Sullivan County locations of Bristol, Bluff City, Piney Flats and Blountville can pick up emergency distributions at Bristol Motor Speedway from 4 to 6 pm.

On Tuesday, events will be held for Unicoi County at the Southside Freewill Baptist Church and the Sullivan County residents of Indian Springs, Fall Branch and Colonial Heights also from 4 to 6 pm at Higher Ground Baptist Church in Kingsport.

These events are for SNAP recipients only and participants must have their SNAP card and an ID or a bill with your address. A complete schedule is available by clicking here.
