Greeneville woman pleads guilty to creating and distributing monkey abuse videos
A Greeneville, TN woman has pleaded guilty to involvement with online groups creating and distributing videos of extreme violence and sexual abuse against monkeys. Encrypted chat apps were used to direct money to individuals in Indonesia who were willing to commit the requested acts of torture on camera. The case was investigated by the FBI and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and in June, a grand jury indicted Katrina Favret for conspiring to create and distribute “animal crush videos.” Favret pleaded guilty to conspiracy to create and distribute animal crush videos and creation of an animal crush video.
