TWRA winter stocking program gets underway for trout anglers

Tennessee is once again stocking trout for fishing opportunities during the winter months. More than 70,000 trout are released statewide throughout the winter stocking program through the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The agency said that the stocked trout will average about 10 inches in length. There is no size limit but a trout license is needed in addition to the regular fishing license. TWRA says there are more than 40 locations for this year’s winter stocking program.
