TDH says there were 29 weather related fatalities due to winter storms
On Wednesday, The Tennessee Department of Health reported that there were 29 weather-related deaths across the state following recent winter storms, including six local fatalities. Three related to last weekend’s storm, One fatality in Greene County, One in Sullivan County, and One in Washington County. The other three happened during the weather event that occurred Jan. 23–27. Two in Hawkins County and One in Johnson County. Across the state, there are more than 8,900 households and businesses without power. Parts of the state are still under a Level 3 State of Emergency.
