Students at Dobyns-Bennett High School walk out Friday to protest ICE
A group of students walked out of Dobyns-Bennett High School on Friday in protest of ICE operations. The students exited the building shortly after noon, with some holding signs and waving flags. Schools administrators informed the students of the consequences of leaving the building while school was in session. In a statement from Assistant Superintendent Andy True, he said, School administrators were present at exit locations to communicate to students the consequences for any unauthorized exit of the building during the school day. Those that did elect to leave school will receive such consequences in accordance with school discipline procedures.
