Resolution passes Senate to rename Mountain Home VA road in honor of former Congressman Phil Roe

The Tennessee Senate just passed a resolution honoring former Northeast Tennessee Congressman Phil Roe. The resolution sponsored by Senator Rusty Crowe of Johnson City asks Congress to rename Dogwood Lane at the Mountain Home VA as Congressman Phil Roe Boulevard. Roe served as chairman and ranking member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. Roe retired from Congress after representing Northeast Tennessee’s First Congressional District for six terms.
