JC man now in federal custody after alleged distribution of child porn

A Johnson City man, already facing a sexual exploitation of a minor charge, is now in federal custody for alleged distribution of child pornography. An update from the Johnson City Police Department said, 59 year old, Jeffrey Goodman, is in federal custody in Greeneville, after a search of Goodman’s home discovered thousands of pieces of evidence, including images, video, and communication from multiple online platforms. In March, following a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a K-9 from the JCPD located numerous electronic items, including laptop computers, a phone, and storage devices. All were seized and will be analyzed for evidence. Goodman could face additional charges. He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
