Northbound Interstate 81 near Fall Branch shut down due to crash
UPDATE, 4 p.m.
Four hours of cleanup and repairs forced state highway workers to shut down a portion of Interstate 81 near Fall Branch.
A preliminary report from THP said just after 11 am, a utility truck went off the left side of 81 Northbound, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle flipped several times, ejecting the passenger.
The two male victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment and the THP report says charges are pending against the driver.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has shut down a portion of Interstate 81 outside of Fall Branch due to an overturned vehicle that has blocked both lanes.
According to TDOT’s Smartway map system, the crash was reported just before 11:15 a.m. EST at mile marker 55.
Crews are working to remove the vehicle from the highway and the roadway has been shut down for safety precautions.
