TBI asks for help locating missing Greene County woman
UPDATE, 3:30 p.m.
Police officials announced Mary Sue Barham died at an area hospital following her discovery in a wooded area near her home on Rolling Hills Road late Thursday morning.
Barham, 81, was the subject of a TBI Silver Alert issued on Wednesday after family members reported his disappearance to investigators.
The report said foul play is not suspected in Barham’s death.

A published report said police confirmed the discovery of Barham in a field near her home at around 11 a.m. Thursday. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is asking for help locating a woman missing from Greene County. The TBI issued a Silver Alert on Wednesday for 81-year-old Mary Sue Barham. Barham is reportedly missing from the Greeneville/Mosheim area and the TBI said she last spoke to a family member on Tuesday. She is described as being 5 feet 6 inches and weighing 180 pounds. She has blue eyes and gray hair. Officials say Barham has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return without help. Anyone who has seen her is asked to call the Greene County Sheriff’s Office or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
