JC commissioners approve Antioch Road rezoning on first reading
Johnson City commissioners approved on first reading a rezoning request that would allow for the development of 48 single-family homes on Antioch Road and residents are concerned about how the proposed development would impact traffic. City leaders say the development would help address the housing shortage. Officials say they should have more information at the second reading of the proposed rezoning during the commission’s April 16 meeting and there will also be a public hearing. To be approved, the rezoning request must be passed on three readings.
