Primary Election Day 2026: Sample ballots for party in each county

Several primaries with major races contested are being held around Northeast Tennessee with polls closing at 8 pm on Tuesday.

With Democratic ballots posting write-in voting options, the winners in the Republican primaries will essentially run unopposed in the August general election.

Notable races include the run for Sullivan County Mayor between current commission members Zane Vanover and Angie Stanley, for Sessions Court Judge featuring Steve Darden and William Monk, for Unicoi County Sheriff between Frank Rogers and Bobby Rutherford and County Mayor in Greene County with incumbent Kevin Morrison and challenger Brett Purgason.
