Greene County woman arrested for abducting her child in NC

A Greene County woman accused of abducting her child in North Carolina was arrested on Thursday, and her child found safe. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office says 25 year old Ambriel Grace Ruth Wilson of Afton was charged with abduction of a child and first-degree kidnapping after she reportedly took her child Thursday morning at a home on Old Mars Hill Highway. North Carolina authorities alerted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office to be on the lookout for Wilson’s vehicle and deputies located the vehicle traveling on Asheville Highway and performed a traffic stop. Wilson was arrested and booked into the Greene County Detention Center and charged with being a fugitive from justice. The Department of Children’s Services took custody of the child for further arrangements.
