Grandfather Mountain Glows firefly viewing opens lottery

This year’s Grandfather Glows firefly viewing at Grandfather Mountain has started a lottery for the event tickets. This years dates are from Tuesday, June 16, through Saturday, June 20. Tickets will be sold to lottery winners at a per-person rate rather than per vehicle and lottery winners will be able to purchase a maximum of six tickets. The lottery opened May 22, and will close on Thursday, May 28. Each lottery entry is $5 plus tax and only one entry per address is allowed. Lottery winners will be notified on Friday, May 29, and the second round of winners will be notified on Wednesday, June 3. Children under three are free and do not require a ticket.
