Downtown JC post office relocates to former CVS on North Roan Street

A downtown Johnson City post office has officially closed, moving retail operations to a new space on North Roan Street. The city moved its USPS distribution and collection center to the former Kennametal manufacturing facility on Roweland Drive and opened a USPS post office at the former CVS Pharmacy on North Roan Street on Monday. The move was first announced in 2023. The front section is now home to a LensCrafters. The Carroll Reece Post Office is at 1100 N. State of Franklin Road at its intersection with Med Tech Parkway.
