Franklin Pool in Elizabethton opens after upgrades

The Franklin Pool in Elizabethton is set to open back up on Wednesday after $1.5 Million in upgrades. Improvements include a new non-slip surface and plumbing, new chlorination system, three heaters and a sloped entrance. Updates also include new paint to the bathhouse and concessions building, and new lighting in the bathhouse. Elizabethton Parks and Recreation has set daily admission from July 1 to September 7 at $5 per person and children under 5 get in free. A Franklin Pool Season Pass can also be purchased.
