Bristol TN selects Matt Slagle as new city manager

A new city manager for Bristol, Tennessee. Bristol City Council voted Tuesday night to approve an employment agreement with Matt Slagle as the city’s next manager. The four-year agreement includes a base salary of $225,000 and will take effect August 3. Slagle resigned from the Bristol City Council in June after becoming a candidate for city manager. Slagle was appointed to the City Council in October 2025 and before that, he served on the Sullivan County Commission since 2022.
