Tennessee Volunteers selected 18th in preseason Coaches Poll

The Tennessee Volunteers are one of eight Southeastern Conference teams included in the inaugural USA Today Top 25 football coaches poll for the 2026 season.

The Vols are 18th while Ohio State was selected as the preseason number one. Georgia was ranked 3rd, Texas 4th, defending national champion Indiana is 6th, no. 8 is Texas A&M, Oklahoma is 9th, and Ole Miss completes the top 10.

Head Coach Josh Heupel has yet to announce his starting quarterback for the season opener Sept. 5th against Furman. Freshmen Faizon Brandon and George MacIntyre are the two front-runners.
