Virginia health officials: Even with Trump executive order, immunization schedules remain the same

A statement issued by the Virginia Department of Health says the Commonwealth will maintain its current vaccine recommendations and school immunization requirements despite President Trump’s executive order for a vaccine schedule.

The agency says their experts encourage parents to follow all guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics while physicians should follow their training and professional judgment when discussing vaccinations.
