Wise County Sheriff’s Office reports Highway 58 rockslide near Norton VA

The Wise County Sheriff’s Office said one lane of Highway 58 in Norton is shut down following a rockslide near mile marker 40. The sheriff’s office says the right lane of Hwy 58 at mile marker 40.4 is closed and deputies are on scene. The department said the left lane is passable but drivers should use extreme caution and slow down. The Virginia Department of Transportation has been notified and is responding.
