Dollywood’s much anticipated Nightflight Expedition opens this week

Dollywood has unveiled its long-awaited new attraction called NightFlight Expedition. The new attraction is allowing VIP’s and season passholders on the ride and then to everyone Wednesday. NightFlight Expedition is a unique indoor ride that is part water ride, and part coaster. Riders fly across the Smokies, raft through waters and climb a mountain ridge with spectaular visual elements that take adventurers to find the glowing Wildwood Tree. The ride takes about five and a half minutes to complete and can accommodate up to 1,200 riders per hour. Dolly Parton was scheduled to be at the park for the opening of the ride, but released a video instead that said her doctor told her not to travel from Nashville due to dehydration.
