Dollywood plans to erect permanent memorial to Dolly
A temporary memorial has been set up at Dollywood for guests to leave flowers and notes for Dolly Parton, but the park plans to erect a permanent spot for people to honor the Tennessee icon and philanthropist. Fans have left flowers and handwritten notes near the entrance to Dollywood. Dollywood President Eugene Naughton said the park is planning to establish a permanent memorial to Dolly Naughton also said there will be updates in “Craftsman Valley to honor Dolly including the addition of a waterfall near the church. Naughton also said a sculpted guitar will be placed at the bottom of the nearby stream with stained glass. Naughton also noted that Dolly helped create the park’s master plan from the time the park began as Dollywood, through 2026, and said she will always be at the center of Dollywood’s plans and growth.
