Sullivan County Commission approves funds for historic building renovations

The Sullivan County Commission has approved funds to make needed renovations to the historic homes and buildings of downtown Blountville. Several buildings including the Rutledge house, the Deery Inn, and the visitor center, built in 1869, will benefit from the renovations. The first building that will see repairs is the Deery Inn. The county Occupancy Tax, used for the promotion or development of tourism, will pay for the renovations.
