Two Piney Flats residents arrested and charged with child endangerment/outstanding warrants
Two Piney Flats residents were arrested Wednesday after Sullivan County deputies found two children inside a home in reportedly unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Deputies responded Wednesday morning to the 300 block of Lories Lane for a welfare check after witnesses reported hearing children screaming, seeing diapers piled behind the home and no adults appearing to be present. Deputies found the home’s door had been kicked in. Inside, they found 29-year-old Joshua Greer, who had an outstanding warrant. Deputies also found two children inside with DCS investigators and EMS officials being contacted, and both children were taken to a hospital. The children’s mother, 30-year-old Jessica Boy of Piney Flats, arrived later and was arrested. Greer was charged with violation of probation and child endangerment and Boy was charged with child endangerment.
