Former cleaning lady charged after admitting taking snapshot of autopsy photo in Sullivan County office
Sullivan County investigators said a former worker who cleaned at the Blountville complex showed co-workers a snapshot of an infant’s body during an autopsy.
Shelia M. Edwards, 76, of Blountville, faces a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized handling of an autopsy photo, and told officers that this July, she used her cell phone while working inside the Sullivan County District Attorney’s office to photograph the image. Edwards surrendered to authorities then let go after posting a $1,000 bond.
