Vols topple Crimson Tide in Knoxville
Tennessee secured its third-straight home win against Alabama, shutting down the Crimson Tide in a 26-10 victory. Quarterback George MacIntyre got his second straight start for the Volunteers, but it was kicker Cooper Ranvier who owned the first half, drilling four field goals, building an early lead. Alabama fought back to trail 12-to-10 at halftime, but Tennessee’s defense locked things down for the rest of the game. Linebacker Jeremiah Telander sparked the defense with multiple sacks, running back DeSean Bishop punched in two second-half touchdowns to seal the win. The Vols have one more matchup before their Halloween bye week. Tennessee travels to Columbia to take on South Carolina this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
