Tennessee Troopers Issue Nearly Two Thousand Distracted Driving Citations

Nearly two thousand traffic citations were issued last week by the Tennessee High Patrol as part of a massive statewide campaign to crack down on distracted driving. Officers used two large buses to gain a birds eye view to monitor drivers who are texting…not wearing seatbelts and other violations. During the three day campaign across the state, officers report they issued one thousand eight hundred and sixteen citations, last years figure was 905 citations statewide.
