Carter County Drowning Victim Identified

Carter County Sheriff’s authorities have identified the man who drowned Sunday while attempting to save his wife who was struggling to stay afloat after she fell into a stream while fishing. 52 year old Hunter Brandon Sadle of Fletcher, North Carolina died when he jumped in to help his wife, but he never resurfaced. His wife was rescued by members of the Carter County Rescue Squad, who later recovered the body of Sadle in the stream a short distance from Wilbur Dam.
