Section Of Hawkins County Roadway Reopens After Rock And Mudslide
Part of a heavily traveled thoroughfare in Hawkins County is back open after being closed due to a second rock and mudslide within the year. One lane of State Route 70 N and Clinch Valley Road has now been reopened. The was closed in April due to the unpredictable rock slope.Work on the remaining portion of the roadway is expected to be completed by June 30th. Another rock slide last May also closed the roadway.
