Lee County Teaches Will Be Armed Beginning This School Year

Lee County, Virginia teachers will become the first educators in the state allowed to be armed in the classroom. Thursday night, the Lee County School Board voted unanimously in favor of a measure that will arm teachers starting this fall. The board says arming teachers is the most financially viable way to keep students safe. The guns and training the teachers will receive will be paid for by the Lee County School District.
