Lee County Shooting Victim Identified
The victim of a shooting in Lee County has been identified. 34-yearold Lee David Lipps was found shot inside a home in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue in Pennington Gap. He was taken to the Lonesome Pine Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The remains were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke for an autopsy.
Police are searching for suspect believed to be between the age of 25 and 30. He’s also believed to be a black man of medium build with a beard and short hair. He’s thought to be driving a 2003 or 2004 Toyota Avalon with a temporary paper license plate.
