A pilot program in Johnson City may help reduce the number of babies born addicted to drugs. Dr. Marty Olsen, has started the program to help pregnant mothers reduce their opioid replacement drug dosages. The program is still in the date collection stage. Olsen, plans to complete the research and if his idea is correct he hopes to expand the program by the end of 2019. So far, the program has assisted more than one hundred mothers, who are trying to reduce their prescriptions in order to provide a healthy birth for their babies.
