UPDATE: Convicted Hawkins County stalker must also register as animal abuser
A Rogersville man arrested twice in 2018 for stalking his ex-girlfriend and killing her cat will now have to register with Tennessee’s animal abuse registry.
Hunter Austin Henry, 20, pleaded guilty, according to court information, and was placed on two years probation. Henry had been jailed since his indictment in June on felony counts of aggravated stalking and aggravated abuse of animals. He had a restraining order placed against him when he spray-painted a crude message on the victim’s home.
