Permanent, Mass Layoff Reported From Kingsport’s Brock Services

Brock Services, located in Kingsport has filed an official WARN notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, notifying the agency of a permanent mass layoff effecting 824 employees, effective March 15. The company is located at 1780 Jared Drive. The effected employees are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement. The Northeast Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team has been notified to coordinate services with the employer and affected employees. Brock Services offers scaffolding, insulation, coating, fireproofing, heat tracing, general maintenance, and other related services to refining, chemical, pulp and paper as well as power generation and other heavy industries.
