Community Transmission Now Widespread In Mount Rogers Health District
The Mount Rogers Health District in Southwest Virginia says in a press release that with three deaths over the past week the district now has four deaths due to COVID-19 and are telling residents in the district there is now widespread, community transmission of COVID-19. The press release goes on to say there is community transmission specifically in Washington, Wythe, and Smyth counties. Residents should assume the risk of exposure to be everywhere and to behave accordingly. The Mount Rogers Health District is no longer providing details of individual case updates.
