Sullivan Commissioners To Discuss Possible Sales And Use Tax Increase

Sullivan County Commissioners will discuss a resolution Friday morning, if approved, could raise the local sales and use tax by nearly three percent. Commissioners will consider the levy that would increase the tax by a rate of two and three fourths percent in a nine O’clock, specially called meeting to be conducted electronically . If the measure is approved it would then go to the public for a November referendum.
