Half Million Dollar Federal Grant Heading To Haysi, Virginia

The Town of Haysi and Dickinson County are receiving a half million dollar federal grant for the Haysi Trails Center Development Project. The funds from the Appalachian Regional Commission will be used to promote southwest Virginia’s natural beauty into an asset for economic development. Phase One renovation will transform the 44 hundred square foot Old Haysi Theater Building into the Haysi Trails Center. The project is expected to attract 500 daytime visitors annually to the region.
