Hawkins County Man To Appear In Court On Murder Charge In Scott County, VIrginia

A Hawkins County man is scheduled for a court appearance today on a murder charge, following a kidnapping investigation which led authorities to a body in Scott County Virginia last week. John Martin Jr, was initially charged with holding his wife against her will in their Hawkins County home. When deputies arrived Martin Jr, surrendered and gave investigators information that led them to Cameron Church Road in the Yuma community of Scott County Virginia where the body of 20 year old James Pierce was found dead. A motive in the murder is not known at this time.
