Sullivan County Commission To Reduce Size By 2022

The 24 member Sullivan County Commission has voted to reduce its size to 18 members by election time in 2022. The commission which is made of eleven districts would instead have nine districts with two commissioners from each district.One reason for the decision to reduce the commission’s size is to better align with the County School Board’s proposal to increase its size from seven districts to nine. The resolution is also expected to simplify matters on election day.
